This week we had our Christmas cookie sale. We sold snickerdoodles, sugar cookies, linzer cookies, peanut blossoms and citrus shortbread with white chocolate. People had the choice of either buying a box of 10 for 10,000 won or a box of 20 for 16,000 won.
Overall, the sale went extremely well and was very successful – especially for our tiny little oven 🙂 We sold over 400 cookies. Originally we only planned on selling around 200 cookies, but we had one very large pre-order from an NGO, so we were able to double our sales. Because of this, and the large amount of people who pre-ordered cookies, we sold out of everything before the sale!
We cooked all of our cookies in our tiny little oven, which can cook around 10 cookies at once. So, you can imagine how long it took to make each batch of cookies (a few hours).
Our favorite cookie that we made was the linzer cookie. It was crispy and flaky on the outside, and had sweet and tangy raspberry jam on the inside. I was also a boss when rolling these out.
People were able to pick their cookies up on Saturday at our stand by Itaewon Station. It was below freezing that day, so we only stayed outside for an hour and a half while we waited for everyone to come.
Thanks to everyone who made this sale successful!
